Novalung® launches iLA Membrane Ventilator® in Canada

Novalung® products at Critical Care Canada Forum in Toronto
After the first successful implantation of the iLA Membrane Ventilators® in February 2007 at Toronto General Hospital Novalung® now officially launches the iLA Membrane Ventilator® in Canada.
Novalung® is represented in Canada by specialized staff that has been trained intensively at the Novalung Academy® in Germany. We ensure on site clinical support and professional user mentoring for our customers in Greater Toronto.
The iLA Membrane Ventilator® is an artificial lung which is supplied by blood pumped from the heart. The iLA acts like a human organ. The extrapulmonary ventilation, i.e. elimination of carbon dioxide outside the body gives the patient's lung "Time to Heal®. This enables a paradigm shift from prioritization of pulmonary gas exchange to prioritization of lung protection.
