Biosense Webster - Electrophysiology Catheters

Will Webster pioneered the first Biosense Webster deflectable-tip catheter more than three decades ago. Ever since then, the Webster name has been synonymous with industry design and craftsmanship in diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheters.

In 1993, patented Biosense technology paved the way for important advancements in cardiac imaging. Combining these technologies as Biosense Webster within the Johnson & Johnson family of companies has significantly enhanced both the science and the clinical application of electrophysiology.

VARIABLE CIRCULAR-MAPPING CATHETER

Biosense Webster continues the tradition of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic catheters. We offer a large portfolio of electrophysiology catheters including both traditional and soft-tip models.

Breakthrough designs such as the LASSO® Circular Mapping Catheter and LASSO® 2515 Variable Circular Mapping Catheter show a strong commitment to atrial fibrillation technology - the most promising next frontier in electrophysiology.

IRRIGATED-TIP CATHETER AND INTEGRATED ABLATION SYSTEM

The THERMOCOOL® Irrigated-Tip Catheter and integrated ablation system is designed to help you to create successful ablations with control and versatility. By controlling the power, you can create a lesion with the depth and breadth you need.

Operation of this system couldn’t be simpler. One button activates the entire system - automatically performing safety checks at each phase of the procedure.

NAVIGATION AND ABLATION SYSTEM

Biosense Webster has delivered mapping and navigation innovations that have advanced the science and practice of electrophysiology. Ongoing research and development at Biosense Webster has given Electrophysiologists (EPs) access to three-dimension, real-time, colour-coded views into the heart's electrical activity, allowing diagnosis and treatment with increasing precision.

The CARTO® Navigation and Ablation System provides unprecedented views into the electrical activity of the heart through real-time data on 3D, colour-coded cardiac maps. The CARTO system also makes precise, real-time tracking of catheter location and diagnosis possible.

Collaboration with leaders in related industries is pushing the clinical boundaries still further, thanks to such new technologies as remote magnetic navigation and IntraCardiac Echocardiography (ICE).

LEADERS IN THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF CARDIAC ARRHYTHMIAS

As part of its collaborative relationship with the electrophysiology community, Biosense Webster provides an unusual depth of customer support. Services include professional education and training, clinical support and training for new users, ongoing technical support for existing customers, plus educational, regulatory, and critical industry information.

Thanks to Biosense Webster technology, a 73-year old grandmother is able to hike ten acres of back-country wilderness only weeks after Paroxysmal Atrial Tachycardia (PAT) had prevented her from climbing a few stairs. A 35-year old man is treated for a potentially life-threatening case of Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome and nine months later experiences the birth of his beautiful daughter.

Extensive experience, consistent focus and advanced technology continue to make Biosense Webster one of the leaders in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.
