AUTOSCOPE ISIS - AUTOMATED ENDOSCOPE REPROCESSOR (AER)

Developed as a pass-through design, Labcaire's new Automated Endoscope Reprocessor (AER), Autoscope Isis, halves the processing time compared to conventional AERs, with a total cycle time of just 20min.

The revolutionary design was driven by the strict requirements of HTM 2030 and prEN ISO 15883 (part 4) and it is compatible with commercially available detergents and AER disinfectants that satisfy Labcaire's approval procedures.

Autoscope Isis will clean and reprocess either one or two endoscopes simultaneously. Each endoscope is mounted independently on its own load carrier, and process efficiency is guaranteed by automatic leak testing, individual channel monitoring throughout the cycle, thorough rinsing to ensure that chemicals are not carried over to the next patient, and an automatic channel drying cycle.

All maintenance and servicing of Autoscope Isis is performed via the front access panels. This eliminates the need to remove the units from the wall at each service visit, potentially upsetting the balance between clean and dirty rooms.

STAND-ALONE AER SYSTEMS

Designed as a stand-alone system, the Autoscope Guardian is constructed and independently tested to ensure compliance with HTM2030 and prEN ISO 15883.

Available as a single or twin unit, each Autoscope Guardian is supplied with a water filtration module, which provides bacteria-free water directly into the process chamber. A single unit is capable of processing one or two flexible endoscopes, where a twin system can process up to four scopes.

Individual channel connections ensure that each channel on the endoscope is irrigated and constantly monitored for blockages, leaks or disconnection. When connected to the AutoGen chemical generator, the Autoscope Guardian allows the operator to use single shot chemicals.

ENDOSCOPE STORAGE CABINETS

Labcaire's new endoscope storage cabinets, capable of storing five or ten endoscopes, provide HEPA filtered air over all surfaces and into all channels of flexible endoscopes whilst they are in the cabinet. In addition, the channel air is molecularly dried. This ensures endoscopes are not exposed to any potential contamination that could be associated with storage of instruments in conventional cabinets, and any residual microbial contamination after reprocessing is removed.

A HEPA filtered and molecularly sieved air supply to each scope ensures channels are kept dry. An outlet carbon filter and fan are also built into the unit to ensure containment of excess disinfectant and alcohol fumes.

AUTOGEN SINGLE-USE CHEMICAL GENERATORS

Designed for use with the Autoscope 2 and Autoscope Guardian range of washer disinfectors, AutoGen is a single-use disinfectant generator providing a single dose of chemical disinfectant for the Autoscope.

AutoGen allows each Labcaire washer disinfector to be converted to single-use disinfectants.

FORMALIN CONTAINMENT SYSTEMS

The compact footprint of the chemical dispensing station, for the dispensing of Formalin, allows the unit to be used in almost any situation. Fume containment is guaranteed with the use of a Labcaire non-ducted AURA fume cupboard, incorporating a large capacity carbon filter. This neatly encloses all operating functions of the Chemical Dispensing Station (CDS) - including filling - and means operators never need to come into direct contact whilst dispensing Formalin again.
