ModuleCo employ modern off-site construction methods to provide a wide range of permanent and temporary buildings for the health sector. We design, engineer and build medical facilities such as operating theatres, diagnostic imaging facilities, wards, decontamination units, laboratories, aseptic suites, clean rooms, clinics, outpatient departments, endoscopy units, mortuaries and field hospitals. All our facilities are high quality, prefabricated, steel frame healthcare buildings constructed off-site with the majority of M&E installation and fit-out taking place in a factory environment. These modular buildings can be:
They are ideal as decant facilities during hospital refurbishments or when facilities are required within tight timescales ModuleCo deliver turnkey solutions, whereby the detailed design, construction and equipping of the building is provided as a single-point design / build service. Fast-track operating theatres for ophthalmic, orthopaedic and general surgical procedures Fast-track, state-of-the-art operating theatres are available in three main types: orthopaedic operating theatre, ophthalmic operating theatre and general surgery operating theatre. They are designed with either standard or bespoke layouts and typically include operating room, anaesthetic room, scrub area, preparation room and dirty utility. Orthopaedic theatres are provided with a laminar flow UCV canopy. Ophthalmic theatres include concrete floors and ceiling mounted microscopes. Any operating theatre can be supported by recovery, wards, high dependency or intensive care units. The theatres are typically used to boost a hospital's surgical capacity, reduce waiting lists or provide temporary facilities during hospital refurbishments. They can be installed with minimal disruption to an existing hospital. Fast track diagnostic imaging facilities to accomodate MRI, CT, PET and X-ray Working alongside the suppliers of medical diagnostic imaging equipment, ModuleCo provide specialist turnkey facilities for diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology. They are built using modern off-site construction and integrate features such as magnetic shielding, radiation protection and RF enclosures. The types of diagnostic imaging facilities include MRI suites, CT rooms, X-ray, cardiac catheterisation laboratories and mammography units. These prefabricated buildings can be available for use at much earlier stages than traditional buildings, allowing radiology departments to keep up with rapid developments within the diagnostic imaging sector. Decontamination facilities, aseptic suites, pathology and containment laboratories Pushing the boundaries of off-site manufacturing and engineering, PKL Healthcare are able to provide high-quality modular buildings with complex engineering services, appropriately segregated processes and effective environment control. Fast-track, purpose-built Sterile Services Departments (SSD), aseptic suites and containment laboratories are available as permanent or temporary buildings and can be provided as new-build or decant facilities. All buildings are designed to meet specific functional requirements and to accommodate particular equipment such as sterilizers, washer-disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners, Microbiological Safety Cabinets (MBSC) and autoclaves. Medical building pods and leightweight steel structures ModuleCo have used a 'bathroom pods' approach and developed it further to provide high engineered, factory-fitted elements such as operating theatres, endoscopy units and other complex areas within hospital buildings. This approach moves the construction of complex sections of healthcare buildings into a factory environment whilst the superstructure of the building is built on site. It reduces the overall programme on large, new-build, construction schemes. Prefabricated lightweight steel structures are also available for hospital refurbishments. Field hospitals and containerised medical facilities for military and disaster relief operations Field hospitals and medical facilities for military, peace-keeping and disaster relief operations are available either as relocatable steel frame buildings, containerised (container based) facilities or soft inflatable structures. These healthcare facilities are designed for quick deployment and easy relocation. For more information, please contact:
