MRI Mobile Attracts Attention at ECR

05 September 2003

Alliance Medical Interim Solutions’ (AMIS) state of the art Philips 1.5T MRI Intera Master mobile unit proved amongst the star attractions at the 15th European Congress of Radiology (ECR) held in March at the International Congress Centre, Vienna.

The unit, a centrepiece of the exhibition, enabled the 7,600 strong multinational delegate list to appreciate first-hand the benefits of working with AMIS, Europe’s leading supplier of mobile MRI and CT units, to meet their temporary imaging demands.

“Our MRI unit at the ECR, proved to delegates how AMIS mobile systems can offer the same facilities as fixed systems in their own hospitals – showing how they can continue their scanning services to patients when upgrading, repairing or replacing existing systems – or even use the MRI with their systems to help reduce waiting lists. Furthermore, delegates could see how hiring a mobile unit would allow them to evaluate the latest cross sectional imaging technology before making purchase decisions.” commented Dr. Maurizio Pupi, European Business Director.

AMIS’ website, launched at the ECR, also proved a hit with delegates. Since its successful launch at the congress, the site is currently averaging over 100 visitors per day – perhaps no surprise given it’s unique ground-breaking approach. In addition to real-time browsing, in-depth product information, open communications, instructional support, complementary services and special discounts on orders placed via the web, the site offers users a virtual tour of AMIS’ mobile units.

Added Evangelina Caselles-Piera, AMIS European Marketing Executive; “We’re delighted that it is proving such a hit, and really meeting the objective of ensuring our customers have in-depth information about our mobile units where and when they want it, with as little effort as possible.”
