Intelerad Medical Systems, a global leader in supplying PACS and medical imaging solutions, is proud to announce the successful participation of InteleViewer Workstation, its standalone DICOM viewer, at the IHE European Connectathon 2007.
The Connectathon took place in Berlin, Germany from April 15 to April 20, 2007. Over 300 healthcare IT professionals from around the world gathered at the Berlin Messe to review each other's products. Connectathons are organized by the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) initiative to further its goal of improving clinical care through the integration of healthcare information.
InteleViewer Workstation participated in five integration profiles with eight actor-profile combinations. While achieving a thorough result with each actor-profile combination, InteleViewer Workstation successfully completed 49 individual integration tests with other vendors.
Of special note is the thorough result obtained as an image display actor under the access to radiology information profile, which measures the ability to communicate with other DICOM entities. Also significant were the four thorough results obtained under the portable data for imaging profile, which reflect the ability to manage features like CD burning, importing from CDs, and printing.
Attending the Connectathon from Intelerad were Anibal Jodorcovsky, executive vice president of Quality Systems, and Dacian Pitic, software designer on Intelerad's InteleViewer team.
"It was a great opportunity to test our software with a large number of PACS and modalities," said Jodorcovsky. "Intelerad’s support of the IHE initiative and participation in the IHE Connectathons will continue to be integral to our development and testing strategy," added Jodorcovsky.
