Shenzhen Landwind Industry Co. Ltd. (Landwind) started operations as a distributor of Siemens' B/W ultrasonic products in mainland China and went on to become a fully fledged distributor of the entire Siemens series of medical imaging products.

Landwind started to produce its own series of B/W ultrasound products in 2003 and has committed itself to supply superior quality medical imaging systems and all-round hospital information management systems at competitive prices.

Currently, Landwind manufactures ultrasound imaging systems and radiology imaging systems, which are widely used in hospitals globally.

ULTRASOUND / ULTRASONIC IMAGING SYSTEMS

Ultrasound / ultrasonic imaging systems (also called as ultrasound diagnostic scanners) are used to perform diagnoses on various body parts, such as the abdomen, liver, gallbladder and uterus. Unlike radiology imaging systems, ultrasound imaging systems use high-frequency sound waves to capture the images of soft tissue parts.

Ultrasound imaging systems are used extensively in hospitals and clinics to perform various diagnoses. Family planning authorities also use them in pregnancy checks and eugenics. Landwind produces three types of ultrasound imaging systems - C Series, F Series and Veterinary.

RADIOLOGY IMAGING SYSTEMS

Radiology imaging systems use x-rays to capture the image of the body part to be diagnosed. Radiology imaging can be performed using either analogue imaging systems or digital imaging systems. Analogue imaging systems use film-type x-ray systems where images are produced on a physical film, while digital imaging systems produce virtual digital images.

Digital Radiography Systems (DR Systems) are high-resolution digital x-ray imaging systems set to take over from traditional analogue film systems. Digital radiography helps reduce patient exposure to radiation and enables accurate diagnosis. This further helps in reducing the turnaround time in out patient departments.
