Maximum sharpness based on blue-tinted backlight. Under ambient lighting, such in reading rooms, the human eye is particularly sensitive to the blue colour temperature range. Matching this colour with our displays allows for optimal detail and contrast resolution, and minimizes eye strain.

Ideal for displaying bright and high-contrast images. Our innovative displays show their strength even under bright ambient lighting conditions, eg. in operating and emergency rooms. Brightness and high contrast are stabilized during the entire service life of the equipment starting in our factory.

Very wide viewing angle. With conventional LCDs, users need to constantly search for the optimum viewing angle to make a reliable diagnosis. And it's even harder if two people want to formulate a diagnosis at the same time. Using Dual Domain IPS (In Plane Switching) technology guarantees consistent grey scale display and luminance over a very wide viewing angle - for all our LCD versions.

Quick start feature. Conventional CCFL backlights need a warm-up time of up to five minutes - valuable time that could be used for making a diagnosis. The Planon® backlight, specially developed by Siemens, reaches 100% luminance in just a few milliseconds.

CONSISTENT PERFORMANCE

Fully automated stability. With the help of the sensor systems that serve as the backbone of Siemens totally automated stability solution, Siemens displays do not require calibration. The ISS (Integrated Stability System) continuously monitors the display’s luminance and automatically adjusts it for DICOM compliance while the ICS (Integrated Consistency System) provides additional assurance that the display is operating within the specified parameters.

LCD with Planon® backlight. Reach the best image quality and diagnostic reliability all the time, along with a true energy saving mode option. Besides saving energy, the energy saving mode also reduces the number of operating hours, further extending the service life of the flat panel display. Furthermore, this mercury-free lamp lasts more than twice as long as conventional backlights.

For CRT monitors, with P45 phosphor coating. The P45 phosphor ages much slower than all other phosphor types and, in combination with the dispenser cathodes, ensures a long service life for the picture tube.
