Second consecutive year company has received MS-HUG recognition

Atlanta, February 9, 2006 — dbMotion Inc., a provider of Web-based data-sharing technology that helps facilitate Regional Health Information Networks (RHIO) and other Health Information Networks (HIN), today announced that the Microsoft Healthcare Users Group (MS-HUG) has named its dbMotion™ Solution a "Best in Class" winner in the Interoperability / RHIO category of the 2006 MS-HUG Annual Awards. This marks the second consecutive year that dbMotion has been recognized with an award from MS-HUG - last year, the company received top honors in the Acute Care: Clinical/Patient Information Systems category.

The MS-HUG Annual Awards recognize the breakthrough contributions being made by healthcare organizations and individuals to drive efficiencies across the healthcare system – ultimately containing costs and improving the quality of patient care, as well as Independent Software Vendor (ISV) solutions that demonstrate the best use of Microsoft technology to drive results in the healthcare industry. The best in class partner winners will demonstrate their solutions in the Microsoft booth at the HIMSS 2006 Conference & Exhibition, Feb. 12-16, in San Diego.

"As our healthcare system becomes more digitized, dbMotion’s virtual patient records are clearly in line with Microsoft's vision of a more connected and empowered healthcare future," said Steve Shihadeh, General Manager, Microsoft Healthcare and Life Sciences. "The dbMotion Solution provides significant benefits to healthcare organizations and helps build a more efficient and patient-friendly healthcare system."

The dbMotion Solution is a Web-based technology that gives participating healthcare organizations secure access to select components of patient medical files maintained at facilities that are otherwise unconnected or have no common technology through which to share data. This is accomplished by creating a "Virtual Patient Record" that integrates relevant patient information, while allowing all source information to remain intact in the original system, location and format. Data can be shared within and across organizations even if standardization of language and protocols (i.e., interoperability) has not been achieved.

Providing real-time access to relevant patient information ensures effective decision-making, accurate diagnosis and optimal treatment. Further, the dbMotion Solution helps healthcare organizations cut costs by improving the efficiency of care, reducing medical errors and eliminating unnecessary or duplicative lab studies and procedures.

"Receiving this award is a tremendous honor and a great validation of the years of work we have put into building our technology solution," said Ziv Ofek, founder and chief technology officer for dbMotion, Inc. "As RHIOs and Health Information Networks continue to become a major worldwide initiative, we are committed to further enhancing our solution to meet the needs of the growing market."
