e-Clinic

e-Clinic - E- Business Healthcare Promotions Service

eClinic commenced business in 2000 with a vision to bring health communities online. Our aim was, and remains, to develop and operate e-business based services that improve the efficiency of healthcare by enabling all healthcare practitioners involved in the care of individuals to interact with each other and with the individuals through seamless, dynamic secure links between their electronic health record systems.

eClinic SMSC

Today eClinic's products and services are used by thousands of healthcare practitioners in Australia and New Zealand - pathology laboratories, imaging laboratories, general practitioners, specialists, pharmacists and veterinary practitioners.

E-results - diagnostic tests, reports and summaries

eClinic SMSC fully automates the transfer of result files (HL7/PIT), and reports and summaries (in any file format) from diagnostic laboratories, securely and directly to the clinic management software (CMS) of medical practitioners.

E-requests – pathology test requests

Pathology test requests may also be sent via eClinic SMSC, eRequest is an automated facility within eClinic SMSC which enables medical practitioners to create and lodge electronic pathology test requests with Gribbles pathology. Gribbles pathology eRequest enables the ability to audit and track pathology tests for the patient open within CMS.

eClinic now fully hosts the delivery of more than 11 million pathology test results annually on behalf of seven pathology and imaging laboratories to over 12,500 general practitioners, specialists and veterinary practitioners all over Australia.

Script requests

eClinic Pharmacy converts owing and last repeat script information from the Pharmacy Dispensing System into script request summaries or pre-formatted scripts. These script requests can then be printed, faxed or sent to medical providers securely via the internet.

Script request transport settings (web, print or fax) and formats (script or summary), are pre-set by the Pharmacist for each medical practitioner, allowing script requests to be sent collectively to medical practitioners in one single action.

SMS Repeat Reminders

eClinic Pharmacy enables Pharmacists to automatically communicate with patients through SMS to assist them with medication compliance and script refill management.

The SMS broadcast is run automatically at a frequency (per patient) determined by the Pharmacist. Information included in the SMS includes current medication, the date the medication was dispensed and the number of repeats remaining.

The third eClinic Pharmacy feature enables Pharmacists to register patients to enable them to download their medication history as required at all times of the day or night.

PalCare – patient information software service

PalCare is a secure fully managed palliative care patient information management software and service, that integrates acute and community care information into a single view of the patient, enabling health and support care providers to optimise the quality of care for their patient at the time and point of care.

PalCare was developed specifically for multi-disciplinary care teams and is adaptable to other care settings.

Organisations using PalCare include:

  • Eastern Palliative Care
  • Melbourne Citymission
  • Goulburn Valley Hospice Care Service
  • Mary Potter Trust
  • North Haven Hospice
  • Nelson Region Hospice Trust

Sampleplus – marketing programme of healthcare products

SamplesPlus is a promotional programme that enables medical practitioners to request and receive samples and support materials for a comprehensive range of healthcare products and services.

For healthcare companies, SamplesPlus is a cost effective marketing programme combining traditional and online channels for promoting healthcare products and services to medical practitioners.

In August 2007 SamplesPlus became a Market Reach Pty Ltd product with eClinic IT systems.

GP reach – web based sample request

A new product evolving from the SamplesPlus merger is ‘GP Reach’, an innovative web based sample request application for healthcare companies that can be accessed by medical representatives via a touch-screen enabled Smartphone. GP Reach utilises eClinic IT systems, complies with industry sampling regulations and may be customised for individual companies.
