BENCHMARK® XT: HISTOLOGY SYSTEMS

BenchMark is the new generation of productivity for the Histology laboratory. This system allows a large improvement in operational flexibility, including the ability to process IHC, ISH, FISH, and FITC tests independently or simultaneously. It also enables workers to optimize protocols with flexible options, including extended incubation times and varying temperature controls.

AUTOMATED HISTOLOGY SYSTEMS

The BenchMark XT system enables complete automation of the testing of IHC, ISH, FISH, and FITC slides. Users can choose their own primary antibody or one of over 260 antibodies available from Ventana, and can automate any or all slide preparation steps, including baking, deparaffinization, cell conditioning, and staining.

This system improves throughput, as it enables the user to process the baking through staining of up to 60 IHC slides per eight-hour shift, or up to 480 slides with additional modules. The BenchMark XT can be left unattended overnight and report up to an additional 30 results in the morning. The system also has the ability to reduce repeats with standardized baking through staining.

SYMPHONY®: HISTOLOGY PRODUCTION SYSTEM

The SYMPHONY system completely automates every step of slide preparation with one-touch operation, from drying through the application of a glass coverslip. Slides are cured and immediately available for Pathologist interpretation upon completion. The use of xylene-free, ready-to-use reagents reduces the handling of hazardous chemicals and improves user safety (currently available in North America and Japan only).

Ventana’s HIGH DEFINITION H&E slide offers improved diagnostic visualization with exceptional clarity and discrimination of micro-anatomic detail. The exceptional quality of Ventana’s HIGH DEFINITION H&E slide offers the potential to expand the diagnostic value beyond the ordinary "dip and dunk" H&E.

VIAS™ PATHOLOGY IMAGE ANALYSIS SYSTEM

VIAS enables a Pathologist-compatible workflow for Histology laboratories. VIAS seamlessly integrates into the pathologist’s current workflow to accommodate real-time image capture and quantitation of percent-positive cells.

This easy-to-use, desktop system readily shifts between computer assisted image analysis and routine microscopy to maximize system flexibility and utilization. VIAS image analysis algorithms have been optimized for use with Ventana reagents to support the standardized and quantitative assessment of marker intensity, size, and shape.

INTEGRATED PATIENT CANCER REPORTS

VIAS is designed to help oncologists and their patients see cancer through the experienced eyes of their pathologist. The customizable patient report embodies key elements of diagnostic reporting.

NEXES® SPECIAL STAINS HISTOLOGY SYSTEM

Only the NexES Special Stains automated system utilizes dedicated, barcode-driven, optimized protocols to provide enhanced consistency of both routine and complex silver stains. Proprietary kinetic technology, including liquid coverslip and Air Vortex mixing, assures high quality routine and complex stains. The system’s modular design maximizes laboratory efficiency and productivity.

PATHWAY: HISTOLOGY ANTIBODY

Ventana's PATHWAY® HER-2/neu (4B5) Rabbit Monoclonal primary antibody is intended for laboratory use for the semi-quantitative detection of HER2 antigen in sections of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded normal and neoplastic tissue, on a Ventana automated immunohistochemistry slide staining device. It is indicated as an aid in the assessment of breast cancer patients for whom HERCEPTIN® (Genentech, Inc.) treatment is considered. This antibody has been optimally diluted for use with Ventana iVIEW™ DAB and ultraView™ detection kits.
