CLASS II BIOLOGICAL SAFETY CABINET

Bio II A Class II biological safety cabinets are supplied with a U.V. lamp, two stopcocks (one with a safety solenoid valve), electrical socket in work space, and electrical cable with plug as standard.

These safety cabinets have been designed according to EN 12469 and meet the requirements of NSF 49, BS 5726, NFX 44-201 and DIN 12950. Each safety cabinet is factory-certified by TÜV-GS registered laboratory to meet the specified performance requirements.

The safety and regulation systems for our biological safety cabinets are controlled by the microprocessor; visual and auditory alarms shown on the display include:

• Low exhaust flow / low downflow air velocity
• Exhaust fan malfunction
• Front window opened
• U.V. lamp on

These factors contribute to making our Class II biological safety cabinets the most efficient system on the market. Available widths are 732mm, 1,190mm, 1,495mm or 1,800mm.

BIOULTRA BIOLOGICAL SAFETY CABINETS

BioUltra are top-of-the-range Class II safety cabinets, type A2, aimed at protecting the operator, the samples and the environment. BioUltra has been designed to be certified to standard EN 12469-2000, and it also meets main requirements to fulfil all needs of NSF 49.

BioUltra biological safety cabinets are ultra-safe. Telstar's patented and unique front window closing system that combines a motorised sliding window with an inflatable gasket giving the following advantages:

• Easy and safe cabinet decontamination process - no need for any additional sealing (e.g. plastic bag or night door) or operator special skills to get the cabinet sealed, and no risk of chemicals leaks to the workplace
• The working chamber can be completely isolated from the outside
• Power cut detection and automatic front aperture closing and sealing (due to battery back-up)
• Turbo exhaust key reinforces the operator protection when needed
• Automatic turbo exhaust activation when the front window is above the working position

The BioUltra cabinets are also comfortable for operators who work for several hours at a cabinet, and are very user-friendly.

PRIORCLAVE AUTOCLAVES

Progen Scientific offers compact electrically heated autoclaves with a 40L front loading benchtop, and a floor standing top loader.

Top loading autoclaves (electrically or direct steam heated) are available in 100L or 150L sizes; front loading autoclaves (electrically or direct steam heated) are available in 100L, 150L or 200L sizes.

Cylindrical section pass-through (double-ended) autoclaves (electrically or direct steam heated) are available in 150L or 200L sizes.

Rectangular section front loading autoclaves (electrically or direct steam heated) are available in 232L, 348L, 450L or 700L sizes.

Compact electrically heated autoclaves with a 40 litre front loading benchtop and floor standing top loader.

Prestige benchtop autoclaves are available in sizes from 9L to 22L.

BENCHTOP LABORATORY FREEZE DRYERS

The benchtop freeze dryer houses a refrigeration system and a vacuum pump. It is constructed in a steel stove enamelled cabinet with front door for maintenance purposes.

The two stage Varian vacuum pump is supplied with gas ballast to remove water vapour or other condensable that could reach the pump; an exhaust filter included

The benchtop laboratory freeze dryer has an air-cooled refrigeration system that is hermetically sealed. The system uses an ozone friendly refrigerant.

LAMINAR FLOW CABINET

Horizontal laminar flow cabinets allow operation in sterile and particle free conditions, due to the continuous flushing of the work area by an undirectional horizontal and ultrafiltered air flow to ensure full product protection.

LABORATORY CENTRIFUGES

We supply several brands of laboratory centrifuges, including Hermle and Labnet. The choice of laboratory centrifuges ranges from microcentrifuges to high-capacity, high-speed bench top models, and also includes refrigeration models.

Hermle centrifuges feature an automatic lid lock, imbalance indication (with safety switch-off), automatic rotor identification (prevents rotor exceeding maximum speed), and maintenance-free, quiet running induction motor.

Unrefrigerated laboratory centrifuges have microprocessor control and digital display of speed and time, choice of r.p.m. or r.c.f., quick pulse button, and choice of fast or slow acceleration / deceleration.

Refrigerated laboratory centrifuges feature microprocessor control and digital display of set and actual chamber temperature; programmable centrifuges allow the choice of ten programmes which the user can set and store.

LABORATORY INCUBATORS
