Advantech is proud to release the PIN-M106 fanless mini-PC and the PDC-190, a 19in high resolution LCD display. Together they are designed to facilitate patient care and assist diagnosis by medical personnel. The system is suitable for medical environments such as the surgical room where high brightness displays and visibility from a wide range of angles is important. It is also designed with conservation of space and low noise operation in mind. The PIN-M106 mini-PC supports 1600 x 1200 dual displays, and a variety of I/O connections. The PDC-190 is a high resolution, high contrast display. Each is certified as dust and water resistant with enclosures designed specifically for use in hospital environments.

Fanless, slim design medical PC supports dual display

The PIN-M106 mini-PC has a fanless design for quiet operation, and its slim housing is ideal in space-conscious environments. The mini-PC is equipped with three gigabit LAN, two RS-232, four USB, DVI-I and DVI-D ports, connecting conveniently to a wide range of medical equipment. The graphics chip supports dual displays operating in an independent, extended or mirrored mode.

High-contrast wide angle display

The PDC-190 is a high resolution and high contrast display with a 19in MVA-type LCD flat panel. It outperforms the competition, with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, high brightness setting and wide angle view (85°/85°/85°/85°), ensuring the sharpest of image quality and ease of use. The display’s 600cd/m² brightness setting delivers easily viewable, precise quality medical images and is suitable for image intense applications such as digital radiology.

Certified against water, dust and electrical power leakage

The PDC-190 is IP65-certified with a dust-tight and water resistant front panel, and both are IPX1-certified with water resistant enclosures. The sealed systems allow medical personnel to clean the units with isopropyl alcohol and other cleaning agents, effectively safeguarding against infection. In addition, UL60601-1/EN60601-1 certifications for lower electrical emissions allow the system to be operated near the patient bedside, and without fear of causing interference with other medical equipment.

The medical profession demands reliability, flexibility and strict compliance to health and safety standards in their computing platforms. The PIN-M106 mini-PC and the PDC-190 display, available now, are an excellent choice, assisting medical professionals in patient monitoring, quality image processing, and data record storage and retrieval, in a variety of medical computing applications.
