SunTech Medical announced today that it has received clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the SunTech 247 Diagnostic Station – a modular device that will provide manual and automated blood pressure, as well as optional temperature and SpO2 measurements. The SunTech 247 will launch into global distribution beginning in August.
SunTech Medical, known for its popular Tango+ automated blood pressure monitor for exercise stress testing, has designed the SunTech 247 as a clinical-grade BP device that bridges the gap between manual sphygmomanometers and vital signs devices.
"The SunTech 247 Diagnostic Station is the first clinical-grade product to offer automated BP measurement with a manual back-up mode, making it a very reliable BP device for healthcare providers," explains Dayn McBee, CEO. "Even the best oscillometric monitors may occasionally fail to get a BP reading. Now, however, we provide a simple way to get an accurate reading in even the most difficult measurement situations."
The SunTech 247 is offered as an affordable replacement for mechanical blood pressure gauges. The modular 'plug-and-play' design allows the clinician to add additional temperature and pulse oximetry parameters at a later time, if needed. Flexible mounting systems include wall, table-top and mobile stand configurations.
