NEW PARKINSON THERAPY ENABLES CONTINUOUS DOPAMINERGIC STIMULATION

Duodopa® is a new parkinson therapy that imitates a normally functioning dopamine system. The drug is based on the latest scientific findings on potential positive long-term effects of continuous dopaminergic stimulation. By supplying the body with a constant and even dopamine flow, Duodopa has shown significantly better results in the treatment of advanced Parkinson's disease compared with different combination of medication.

DUODOPA - LEVODOPA AND CARBIDOPA

The active ingredients of Duodopa are two well-documented substances, levodopa and carbidopa, which are dispersed in a viscous gel. A portable, patient-operated pump delivers the drug through a tube directly into the gastrointestinal tract (duodenum), which ensures more even supply and uptake compared with tablet treatment.

Duodopa is based on more than ten years of clinical experience. Comprehensive clinical studies show that the patient's mobility is significantly increased. This substantially improves the patient's quality of life.
