This week a batch of twelve autoclaves left Priorclave's manufacturing facility in south-east London destined for hospitals and health care centres throughout Zambia. They represent the final phased shipment to complete a major order placed with Priorclave earlier this year and have been delivered one month ahead of schedule.
The order called for a total of 72 top-loading, 150l capacity steam sterilisers with high output/low power steam generators built-in. Priorclave supplied its versatile EV150 model, noted because of its larger-than-average chamber size for such a compact autoclave design and for having extremely fast cycle times achieved by use of an integral forced air cooling system. Priorclave also re-engineered the format of the steam generators to give the required output from the single-phase supply that would be available on site.
All models supplied for this African contract awarded by Eagle Scientific incorporate Tactrol Zero, a facility enabling Priorclave's UK Service Centre to provide immediate response to operation status and queries from around the world. All autoclaves also carry the BioCote 'flag', a symbol that denotes a microbial finish in the form of an anti-bacterial agent which is effective against all bacteria and fungi, including MRSA.
Paul Richardson, business development manager at Priorclave, was delighted that his company was awarded this major contract against global competition from many quarters such as China, the UK and Europe.
