MICRO-NEEDLES

ACUFIRM micro-needles are manufactured in high-strength stainless steel using specially adapted manufacturing techniques. These micro-needles are subjected to regular 100% inspections during various stages of the manufacturing process and therefore superb quality is guaranteed.

The precision-honed needle points minimise the penetration force and tissue trauma, while the design of the needle ensures perfect grip of the needle holder and precise guiding of the needle

MICRO-NEEDLE THREAD COMBINATIONS

ACUFIRM micro-needle thread combinations are attached with much precision so that an optimal thread hold in the needle and a smooth changeover from needle to thread can be achieved.

Micro-needle thread combinations are thoroughly tested for tensile strength after attachment and therefore guarantee a tensile strength which lies above the current norm. They are mounted on needle-thread holders that allow a quick and smooth grip of the needle-thread combination

STERILE MICRO-NEEDLE THREAD COMBINATION PACKAGING

ACUFIRM micro-needle thread combinations are delivered in packets of twelve. The packets are made of environmentally-friendly cardboard paper. A plastic wrapping guarantees additional protection. The micro-needle thread combinations are individually sterile-packed and labelled. Each packet carries a sterilisation indicator, allowing the sterility of the product to be checked regularly.

Each micro-needle thread combination is set on a needle thread halter, guaranteeing the flawlessness of the needle tip as well as an optimal extraction when operating.

STERNOTOMY NEEDLES

ACUFIRM’s sternotomy suture is a new suture development for sternum closures after surgical operations in the thorax area. As a result of the development of this new form of traumatic sternotomy suture material, we have succeeded in introducing our comprehensive expertise and our high quality standards into the area of sternum sutures.

LOW PENETRATION FORCE AND MINIMUM PUNCTURE CHANNELS

ACUFIRM’s sternotomy needles distinguish themselves through high firmness and resistance to breakage. Low penetration force and minimum puncture channels are guaranteed by the precisely finished tips.

The needles are available in two forms:

• Round-bodied needles with a trocar tip
• Triangular needles with reverse cutting and a trocar tip
