Conflicts of Interest and Academic Industry Relationships
15 July 2010The Harvard Medical School (HMS) released a white paper entitled Conflicts of Interest and Academic Industry Relationships in 2009 to address the challenges that arise from financial conflicts of interest that call into question the school's integrity.
This paper is concerned with issues pertaining to financial conflict of interest within the HMS community, and describes how HMS is working to define the problem by conducting a thorough review of its policy, and suggests ways to deal with and resolve certain issues of concern.
