HealthAlliance receives $88.8m state fund for Mary’s Avenue and Broadway campus transformations

HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley won an $88.8m fund under the capital restructuring financing programme award to transform its Mary’s Avenue Campus in Kingston into a single hospital and Broadway Campus into a ‘medical village’.

Subject to approvals from Kingston Planning Board and a state Department of Health certificate, the construction plan of the new expanded HealthAlliance Hospital is said to offer technically enhanced surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic services for acute and critical care admitted patients.

It will create an emergency department (ED), which will feature expanded capacity and new life-saving equipment to enhance their readiness to cater to emergency cases.

Wanda and Dignity Health to launch digital health oncology care platform

NetScientific’s subsidiary Wanda signed a deal with a US hospital group Dignity Health to launch a digital health oncology care platform, OncoVerse.

OncoVerse is a digital healthcare platform that will enable Dignity Health’s medical professionals to make informed oncological treatment decisions.

The platform will expand the geographic reach of its clinical decision-making support system to rural and remote areas, allowing all patients to benefit from insights.

The Marcus Foundation donated $75m to US-based community hospital Piedmont Healthcare, to help provide better access to expert healthcare for millions of Georgians.

The gift amount will be used to develop the system’s nationally recognised heart and vascular programme, Piedmont Heart Institute, and renew Piedmont’s Atlanta campus through the establishment of the Marcus Heart and Vascular Centre.

The development of the Marcus Heart and Vascular Centre is said to introduce a comprehensive care experience for Piedmont Heart patients, establishing space specifically intended for heart-related procedures and hospital stays.

US children’s hospitals deploy XIFIN ProNet to ensure timely treatment

Two children’s hospitals in the US have selected Xifin’s Cloud-based collaboration and clinical data management solution to ensure timely medical treatment for neglected and abused children.

Xifin ProNet has been deployed by the Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital and Midwest Regional Children’s Advocacy Centers at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.

Central Valley Specialty Hospital in US deploys Xenex Germ-Zapping Robot

US-based Central Valley Specialty Hospital (CVSH) selected Xenex Disinfection Services’ LightStrike Germ-Zapping Robots, making it the first long-term acute care (LTAC) facility in California to deploy the system.

The Xenex robot is said to enhance environmental cleanliness by destroying hard-to-kill superbugs such as antibiotic-resistant bacteria by making its way through inaccessible areas.

The technology exerts Xenon, an inert gas into the xenon ultraviolet flashlamp at a high-intensity, which generates an intense ultraviolet C (UVC) light in the form of a broad spectrum, highly intense light covering the entire germicidal spectrum.

Medical imaging IT firm Sectra secured a multi-year contract from Hartford HealthCare (HHC) to deliver its vendor neutral archive (VNA) to manage patient imaging in the healthcare system.

A new mammography system was installed at US-based White Memorial Medical Center, a 353-bed hospital and member of the Adventist Health System.

The new Aspire Cristalle system has been donated by Fujifilm Medical Systems and National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).

Fujifilm’s mammography system will be used to meet the screening needs of women and support healthcare professionals in early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer.
