ConforMIS has completed the first surgeries using the iTotal CR knee resurfacing system in the US states of Massachusetts, California and Texas.
The system is made to fit into an individual patient precisely without sizing compromises.
The patient-specific technology creates articulating surfaces that resemble a patient's natural shape while preserving more bone than a traditional total knee replacement.
The process has also been recognised to preserve joint motion, streamline surgical procedures and improve operating room efficiency.
The process for the iTotal CR will produce customised implants with unique advantages.
