Provista Develops New Blood Test to Detect Breast Cancer

9 June 2011

Provista has developed a simple blood test to detect breast cancer.

The BT test measures five specific blood-based proteins known to have an association with the immune system's response to breast cancer.

The test is designed to work in conjunction with annual mammograms and other breast cancer detection methods.

It uses a software programme to generate a singular numeric value, called the BT Score, which determines the presence or absence of breast cancer.
