The World Bank's board of directors have approved the $24m in additional financing to support the Kyrgyz Republic's ongoing Health and Social Protection Project.
Around $13.2m of the funding is concessional credit, while the remaining $10.8m is a grant.
The aim of the project is to provide the population with improved access to quality health care services, and to manage public health threats.
