Pathwork Diagnostics has announced that its Tissue of Origin Test, which helps identify the primary tumour in difficult-to-diagnose cancer cases, is now covered by Medicare.
The test has been evaluated in multiple independent studies involving more than 1,100 patients, with results published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology and the Journal of Molecular Diagnostics.
It is the only molecular diagnostic test for tissue of origin that has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.
