MedMira has been awarded a $2.3m contract by the US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity to develop and commercialise a multi-marker rapid test for the detection of the Hepatitis B core IgG and IgM antibodies.
Under the multi-year contract the US Army will fund all development costs and associated fees in obtaining US Food and Drug Administration pre-market approval for the test.
The test may could also be used in cases of occupational exposure, medical surveillance programmes, and routine medical checks before and after deployment.
