US-based CRH Healthcare has acquired Atlanta’s urgent care and family care platform, Physicians Immediate Med (PIM), for an undisclosed sum.

PIM operates ten urgent care centres in Douglasville, Hiram, Acworth, East Cobb, Peachtree Corners, Buford, Johns Creek, Gwinnett, North Point and Decatur. It is also planning to open a new urgent care centre in Snellville.

CRH Healthcare CEO Bill Miller said: "This combination made tremendous sense. It brings together two successful companies to make one great team and Atlanta’s leader in walk-in care."

The acquired business geographically complements CRH’s four Atlanta urgent care centres in Fayetteville, Mableton, Newnan and LaGrange. CRH’s Atlanta centres are operated under the Peachtree Immediate Care brand.

PIM’s centres offer walk-in care for injury, illness and minor emergencies, in addition to family care for both parents and kids. The centres also include lab capabilities and digital x-rays onsite, allowing physicians to treat patients with all non-life threatening medical issues.
