Elkerliek Hospital in the Netherlands has selected IQinVision HD megapixel cameras to upgrade its IP video surveillance.
The hospital has installed 150 IQeye HD megapixel cameras, which perform under low light situations, into the centralised security system to achieve traditional security goals and to optimise extra services and health care.
With the installation of the megapixel quality cameras that ensure detailed camera images at all times, the hospital expects to achieve deep integration between parking, access and other security systems.
Xserius general manager Henri Nieuwstraten said, "The Elkerliek Hospital project is an excellent example of the expanded role integrated security systems can play."
Xserius is the distributor for the project while Flexposure is the project integrator.
The camera numbers can be readily expanded and cameras can be moved anywhere where there is a network connection, if needed.
Integration and centralisation of different systems within the hospital helps to ensure the safety of all patients and staff, and the integration even facilitates key resources and information which aid in the delivery of the best possible medical care.
Detailed camera images, managed by a Mirasys VMS, are now used to facilitate parking, validate access control information, and are available for other uses in the central control room, according to IQinVision.
