The Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Minnesota, US, has selected PatientKeeper's suite of physician workflow solutions to create a virtual electronic medical record.

CRMC chief operating officer Theresa Sullivan said: "By creating an integrated EMR that physicians can use easily, we are taking a giant step toward realizing the full patient-care value of our IT infrastructure."

PatientKeeper will provide CRMC's 35 physicians with a single online environment in which to view and act on patient information from desktop computers, as well as tablets and smartphones.

CRMC will use PatientKeeper's full suite of physician workflow capabilities, which includes computerised physician order entry, medication reconciliation, as well as a physician portal to view and take action on longitudinal patient information.

PatientKeeper president and CEO Paul Brient said: "PatientKeeper has demonstrated success automating physician workflow and driving high levels of physician adoption of technology in the critical access hospital environment."
