Singapore General Hospital to deploy new water purification solution

2 July 2012

ELGA LabWater, the laboratory water brand of Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies, will supply and install an "ultra-pure" water production system for the under-expansion Singapore General Hospital (SGH).

As part of the contract, ELGA Lab's subcontractors Taikisha, Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies Singapore and Chemoscience will install 12 Centra and four Medica units across the 13-storey building.

The solution is designed to deliver consistent purified water, ensuring uptime for critical services such as pathology.

Laurent Besson general manager of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies Singapore said: "By leveraging on the strong capabilities of the Veolia local team and the global expertise of ELGA, we offered a customised and greener solution to SGH, allowing reduced water consumption."

"This new project reinforces our position as experts in delivering smart water solutions to hospitals," added Besson.
