Tennessee health system to add new surgery centre to Florida IVF laboratory

25 July 2012

Vivere Health, headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, US, has embarked on the addition of a 7,000ft² surgery centre to its Vivere - Winter Park Fertility Laboratory located in Florida.

The facility will feature advanced technology in the field of reproductive endocrinology and is expected to open in 2013.

Vivere founder and CEO Joe Cashia said the Vivere model is unique because it pairs labs and operating suites under one roof, so the addition of two custom-built operating suites to the Winter Park facility is significant in achieving higher patient outcomes.

"We are fortunate to have such an outstanding and highly-qualified physician partner in Dr Trolice and his staff, and we look forward to working with him as we continue to develop services throughout the market," Cashia added.

The addition of two operating suites at the Winter Park location will allow Vivere and physician partner Mark Trolice to better meet the fertility needs of metro Orlando and the surrounding areas.

"The facility will feature advanced technology in the field of reproductive endocrinology."

The Vivere network pairs IVF labs with surgery centres and enables physicians to focus on medicine while Vivere handles the marketing and business needs of the facility.

Vivere began construction of a custom-built fertility clinic in New Orleans in June 2012, prior to which each of Vivere's fertility centres of excellence had been an acquired facility, modified and redesigned to meet Vivere's standards.

In addition to the $3m expansion of the Winter Park clinic, Vivere is aiming to expand further in the greater Central Florida area through the addition of more physicians and satellite offices.
