InTechnology, a cloud services provider in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, UK, has achieved Information Governance and Statement of Compliance (IG SoC) accreditation.
The company has passed Version 10, the most recent annual IG SoC toolkit accreditation, which adds to its NHS and health credentials.
InTechnology healthcare solutions divisional director Mark Hall said as an organisation that receives services from NHS Connecting for Health directly, InTechnology must complete the IG SoC process.
"InTechnology is one of a very select few service providers working right across the NHS," Hall added.
"InTechnology was the first aggregator allowed to transmit and store Patient Identifiable Data.
"From an information security perspective, in addition to our IG SoC accreditation, InTechnology is ISO 27001 certified and we're also authorised to process 'restricted' Government data by the MoD."
With the blend of accreditations, the company is expected to deliver scalable and dynamic IT services to a range of healthcare clients.
The company has also recently launched subsidiary InHealthcare, which specialises in telehealth services.
IG SoC is the process by which organisations enter into an agreement with NHS Connecting for Health for access to the NHS National Network (N3).
Organisations applying for IG SoC accreditation must meet security-related requirements to demonstrate their ability to safeguard the N3 network and its information assets.
