US firm to support Abu Dhabi Health Services hospitals

Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has selected Hill International as project manager for the construction of new hospitals in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

As part of a two-year, AED17.4m ($4.8m) deal, the US-based construction consulting firm will provide project management services for two new community hospitals.

The 431,000ft² Ghayathy Community Hospital will include 50 beds while Silaa Community Hospital, with an area of 280,000ft², will consist of 36 beds.

The two hospitals have a combined estimated project value of approximately AED784m ($213m), according to Hill International.

"Hill International will provide project management services for two new community hospitals."

Hill's Project Management Group (International) president Raouf S. Ghali said improving and expanding healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi is a top priority for SEHA.

"Hill is honoured to have been selected to help build these important facilities," Ghali added.

Launched in 2007, SEHA is an independent, public joint-stock company created to manage and develop the curative activities of the public hospitals and clinics of the UAE.
