USMD Cancer Treatment Centers, a subsidiary of USMD Holdings, has opened a new Collom & Carney Cancer Treatment Centre in Texarkana, Texas, US.

Located on the campus of Wadley Regional Medical Center, the new cancer treatment centre was opened in collaboration with Collom & Carney Clinic Association.

The new cancer treatment centre is a comprehensive radiation therapy facility that provides Varian Medical Systems technology TrueBeam, an advanced radiotherapy technology to treat cancer.

In addition, the centre includes Siemens CT system for treatment planning and modern equipment that will help in providing personalised patient care.

USMD noted the new centre is the first facility in the area that is providing TrueBeam technology.
