Australia healthcare industry registered a 12.8% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 6.44% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 13.25% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 0.33% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Australia healthcare industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.98% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia healthcare industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 55.78% in July 2021, a 53.27% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 21.09% share, an increase of 87.88% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 13.27%, registering a 69.57% rise from June 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 4.76%, down 39.13% over the previous month.
Top five healthcare companies in Australia IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 90.57% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia healthcare industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
Cognizant Technology Solutions posted 70 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Accenture with 70 jobs and a 75% growth. Suncorp Group with 22 IT jobs and Dai-ichi Life Holdings with 22 jobs, recorded a 10% growth and a 29.03% decline, respectively, while International Business Machines recorded a 20% an increase with 18 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.81%, up by 48.63% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 21.43% share, a growth of 80% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 4.42% share, up 18.18% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.34%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
