The top five companies accounted for 8% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that Johnson & Johnson filed the most cybersecurity patents within the healthcare industry in Q4 2023. The company filed 11 cybersecurity-related patents in the quarter, compared with 13 in the previous quarter. It was followed by DexCom with 10 cybersecurity patent filings, Samsung Group (8 filings), and Apple (8 filings) in Q4 2023.
