Community Psychiatry Management, a US provider of outpatient behavioural health services, has acquired Harbor Psychologist, a psychiatric and psychological services provider serving the Lakewood and greater Long Beach areas in California.

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

Harbor Psychologist offers a complete range of psychiatric and psychological services to adults and children.

Among the services it provides includes mental health evaluations, medication management, therapy/counseling, group therapy, and psychological testing.

The acquisition of Harbor Psychologist brings to Community Psychiatry four psychiatrists, six psychologists and eight licensed therapists to its team of more than 150 mental health care providers.

As per the terms of the acquisition, Harbor Psychologist will become part of the more than 40 Community Psychiatry family of clinics and will come under the Community Psychiatry name.

The newly rebranded Community Psychiatry office will focus on treating patients suffering with depression, addictive disorders, bi-polar affective disorder (manic-depression), anxiety, panic, phobias, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), eating disorders, ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), autism spectrum, behaviour problems, anger, stress and relationship issues.

Besides English, several clinicians at the new Community Psychiatry location speak Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog, Russian, Ukrainian, Punjabi, Urdu and Hebrew.
