“This new acute care facility is another step toward delivering on our promise to ensure the communities we serve are within 10min of our primary care providers, 20min of our specialty care and 30min of our acute care.”

The new specialty services will benefit the residents of Lancaster, Lebanon and York counties who currently have to drive upto Hershey for the services.

The new centre is also expected to generate local jobs, during construction phases as well as once its operations commence.

Earlier this year, Penn State Health introduced the Lime Spring Outpatient Centre, a 76,000ft2 outpatient facility in East Hempfield Township. It also broke the ground for an adult acute care hospital, Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center.
