US-based healthcare platform Commons Clinic has secured $26m in Series B financing, increasing its total funding to more than $60m.
The company will use the financing to support the launch of its multi-speciality suite, Wholebody by Commons Clinic.
RA Capital led the Series B round, which also saw contributions from SteelSky Ventures, Floating Point, Time BioVentures and Courtside Ventures, as well as physicians from Commons Clinic.
Wholebody by Commons Clinic will combine the company’s advanced offerings for preventative care, offering health management, focusing on early detection and prevention.
The initiative includes five specialised programmes that utilise diagnostic technologies to assess health indicators across domains such as cardiometabolic wellness, preventive oncology, women's health, and musculoskeletal and gastrointestinal health.
Patients enrolled in Wholebody programmes will be entitled to up to three specialist consultations through Commons Clinic's national network of specialists.
They will also have priority access to the 'FastPass' network of primary care partners, which aims to ensure seamless and expedited care.
The service seeks to put patients on fast tracks to specialised interventions, such as surgeries at Commons Clinic's centres or rapid oncology referrals, based on early detection of health risks.
Cardiologist Dr Jenica Ortega will lead the Wholebody programme, focusing on the development of cardiac, metabolic, bariatric and women's health services.
Commons Clinic co-founder and CEO Nick Aubin said: "Speciality healthcare too often begins after prevention fails.
"Patients lack timely access to specialised clinical expertise, leaving conditions to worsen over time before they receive treatment.
"Equipped with the industry's most advanced technologies, we are able to quantify health risk, identify specific conditions, and quickly treat issues across the entire body."
Last year, Commons Clinic established the Centre for Spine Economics, Outcomes & Research (SEOR) for implementing care models for spine-related conditions.
