Teleflex said it signed a new three-year multisource agreement effective from 1 May 2011 to 30 April 2014 with Amerinet, a national healthcare group purchasing organisation.

Amerinet chose Arrow peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs) as part of the agreement.

The Arrow PICC product line includes Arrow Evolution PICC with Chlorag+ard antimicrobial technology, the first chlorhexidine-treated PICC.

Chlorag+ard technology provides antimicrobial protection against bacterial and fungal infections.

Amerinet collaborates with acute and alternate care providers to create and deliver solutions through performance improvement resources.

Teleflex also recently expanded its vascular access product offerings with the attainment of the VasoNova vascular positioning system, a central venous catheter tip navigation system.
