Caldera Medical has announced that it has received CE mark approval for its Desara Mini implant, used in the treatment of stress urinary incontinence.

The implant, combined with Desara mesh, allows for sling placement with a single incision.

Desara Mini will use reusable instrumentation to provide surgeons and hospitals with an eco-friendly solution that reduces amounts of packaging and biohazardous waste, and the impact on landfills.

Caldera Medical chairman and CEO Bryon Merade said that the Desara Mini provides physicians with another surgical option that they can incorporate into their range of treatment options for incontinence.
