Huntsville Memorial Hospital in Texas, US, has installed Surgical Information Systems’ solution to automate its perioperative department.
The solution is expected to help the hospital deliver improved patient care, increase revenues and save operating costs.
Huntsville Memorial chief nursing officer Donna Stewart said that with this solution, the hospital will have the clinical tools to optimally schedule and manage surgical procedures, and would be able to create a unified electronic perioperative record.
The new system will be integrated with the hospital’s current technology, Meditech, to provide patient care benefits.
John Heemann, chief information officer for Huntsville Memorial, said, “We are excited to be automating the entire perioperative department on a single database with anesthesia, patient tracking and a robust analytics tool.”
