Maquet Cardiovascular has received European CE mark approval for its Cardioroot aortic graft, which is used to repair or replace diseased and damaged aortas.

The graft allows easy sewing of valve remnants or a prosthetic valve within the tube, thereby avoiding potential bleeding and shortening surgical procedure time.

The design of Cardioroot mimics the anatomy of the patient’s native aortic root.

The graft improves haemostasis, tissue in-growth and natural healing, and has long-term durability.
