US-based Morris Hospital has installed Toshiba’s Ultimax X-ray system to improve its diagnostic imaging capabilities.
Ultimax features three filters that decrease hard and soft X-ray exposure and virtual collimation to reduce fluoroscopy exposure.
The system performs can be used to perform both general radiography and interventional radiology procedures in a single examination room, reducing exam times.
Morris Hospital Radiology manager Liz Bates said the Toshiba Ultimax X-ray system is a multipurpose, and the fact that it can be used to generate a wide variety of X-rays from a single system has reduced patient examination time and improved diagnostic accuracy.
“Ultimax is improving our patients’ safety by limiting radiation dose to the lowest possible amounts while providing high-quality fluoroscopic images,” Bates said.
