Ohio Hospital to Open New Centre for Emergency Medicine

A new 60,000ft² centre for emergency medicine is to be opened at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Ohio, US, in July.

The $40m facility will provide expanded laboratory and radiology services with a dedicated CT scanner, two positive-air pressure rooms for cancer patients and a resuscitation room for paediatric patients, reports Cleveland news.

Edward Michelson chairman of the department of emergency medicine at University Hospitals said the facility will be able to accommodate more than the 30,000 paediatric patients and 45,000 adult patients.
