Banner Health and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center will open a new $90m state-of-the-art cancer centre in Arizona, US.

The new MD Anderson Banner Cancer Center will feature a 120,000ft² cancer outpatient centre along with 76 patient beds on two floors inside of Banner Gateway.

The centre will offer services such as oncology, pathology, laboratory, diagnostic imaging and other supportive clinical services with MD Anderson providing clinical oversight for all elements of care delivery.

Ground will be broken for the project in late 2009 or early 2010 and the centre will be opened in late 2011.
