The UK's London Bridge Hospital has deployed a Robotic Catheter System to provide surgeons with precise and stable control of catheter movement while performing complex cardiac procedures, to diagnose abnormal heart rhythms or arrhythmias.

The Sensei catheter system or Hansen Medical facilitates minimally invasive catheter-based procedures in the heart and helps in creating more accurate maps improving treatment to the patients.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a common and complex problem where atria of the heart beats very quickly and irregularly resulting in inadequate fill of blood in ventricles leading to heart stroke.

The American College of Cardiology estimates that about 75,000 strokes occur each year due to AF.
