A national education campaign against the H1N1 influenza strain has been launched in Dubai by the emirate's Ministry of Health (MoH) alongside partner organisations the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi and the Dubai Health Authority.

The campaign 'You care, we care, and the world cares' aims to educate the public about the steps to be taken if a person develops flu-like symptoms, Gulf News reports.

The country's MoH has partnered with a team of medical experts to develop a strategy for H1N1 flu prevention and is constantly monitoring people arriving from foreign countries through fever scanners and thermal imaging equipment at airports.
