Aurora St Luke's Medical Center in the US state of Wisconsin has deployed an electronic tracking system to manage hospital assets.
Patient Care Technology Systems' Amelior Tracker will manage more than 3,100 hospital assets across the 538-bed, 1.65 million square foot campus.
Aurora will integrate a real-time location system from Skytron to supply automatic location data capture to the Amelior Tracker end-user software.
The asset management solution aims to improve and organise patient care through real-time visualisation of patient flow, the company said.
The inital focus of the technology is to identify and locate infusion pumps and other movable medical equipment to reduce unnecessary spending on replacement systems.
