Qatar will receive stocks of H1N1 influenza vaccine by October 2009 with priority being given to those travelling on the Haj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, according to a senior public health official.

The number of swine flu cases is expected to increase by around 20% in Qatar when people return from international holidays during September, senior health officials said according to a report in The Peninsula.

The 41 H1N1 flu cases reported so far in the country were people who had arrived from abroad, the news agency reports.
