Australia's Vos Construction and Joinery has been chosen to construct the Devonport GP Super Clinic in the Australian state of Tasmania.

The A$5.5m clinic will integrate GP clinics, practice nurses, allied health professionals and medical specialists to improve the quality primary healthcare services received by the residents of Devonport, the government said.

The clinic will operate from two sites in Devonport and Vos will start constructing the additional first floor at the Wenvoe Street Clinic next month.

The clinic will provide an osteoporosis facility and additional services for people with mental health issues, diabetes, asthma and musculoskeletal problems.

The clinic is part of the government's A$275m commitment to build 32 GP Super Clinics across Australia.
