The UK Government has launched a new online service that allows patients to rate and compare the performance of National Health Service (NHS) hospitals.

The new web-based scorecard will allow patients to view hospital performance based on different factors such as mortality and infection rates, cleanliness, staff performance and quality of food served.

NHS patients can now choose the hopsital they want to be treated in and the government wants people to leave feedback on the site to help improve standards.
